[_ 0127_5_0 _]In Norse mythology, Freyja is a goddess associated with love, sex, beauty, fertility, gold, sorcery, war, struggle, and death. Freyja owns the heart-shaped necklace Brísingamen, drives a car pulled by two cats, is accompanied by the wild boar Hildivíni and has a cape made of falcon feathers.  It houses the fallen, sharing half with Odin, in a large meadow called Fólkvangr, over which it rules. At the same time she is the leader of the Valkyries.[_ 0127_5_1 _]

[_ 0127_5_0 _]Freya belongs to the Vanir race of gods, but after the tribal war between the gods of the Asen and the Vanir was included in the ranks of the Asen.  After the conflict, Freya taught Odin "Seiðr" magic capable of weaving the destinies of gods and humans. She is married to the god Odr. Odr is believed to be none other than Odin, the King of the Gods, himself.[_ 0127_5_1 _]
